About the u3a in Dartmouth
Members are generally retired or semi retired but there is no minimum age; anyone who is not in full time employment is welcome:
- Amazing value at only £10 per year to be a member
- Come along to monthly general meetings where we always have interesting and informative speakers
- There are about 39 interest groups in this u3a
- Come and join us and fill your days with meeting people, learning and having fun
- If there isn't a group on a subject/topic you are interested in you can easily START ONE, we will help you
- Some groups meet in members' homes, most hire a room and there is often a small per session charge typically £2 pp to cover this cost
- Groups do not expect you to be at every meeting - we all have holidays, families and friends to fit in too
Say you are feeling you need to get out and meet more people and you don't have much happening on a Tuesday in your normal week. Look at our groups and see which ones meet on a Tuesday. It might be our Tuesday pub lunch group or our Tuesday bowling group. Contact the convener and ask for more details. Some groups meet once a month, others twice a month, some weekly. Very soon you may have joined more than one group and be off getting to know people at meetings. Don't think you need any special knowledge or prior experience ... these groups welcome people who are beginners. And in the meantime - enjoy these geology walks.
