Garden Group 3 is a group open to all. The group does not meet on a set day. We all enjoy learning more about plants and sharing knowledge by visiting gardens, both nearby and up to an hour away from Dartmouth, between spring and autumn.
This year we have been on some lovely trips including to Coleton Fishacre (pictured), The Garden House near Plymouth and Middle Well in Stoke Gabriel. We usually end up with a chat over a bit of lunch or afternoon tea at the garden. We collaborate with the other two u3a garden groups and sometimes do things together.
There is no limit on numbers for our group, so all welcome. Simply sign up to get emails from me and I will let you know about forthcoming visits.

Coleton Fishacre 20th March 2025 - Specimen Tree Guided Walk
In 2025, the National Trust are introducing guided walks through the gardens of Coleton Fishacre to learn about some of specimen trees within the estate. During the construction of the house, Lady Dorothy Carte took particular interest in the gardens and many trees were planted between 1925 and 1928. Our u3a Garden Group were invited to be the first to enjoy the guided walk which took in paths and areas not normally visited.
