Some of the topics covered:

  • What iPad do you own – which model is it, how much memory does it have? What is its serial number?  Why is this important? 
  • Around your iPad - where are the sound buttons, on off button, home button, how to navigate round the screens, all the different pull down screens and their uses. 
  • iCloud – what is it, where is it, how to access it and keep your information safe. 
  • Keyboard and Apple Pencil – multiple keyboards, language keyboards, shortcuts, speech typing, drawing and writing. 
  • Knowing your Apps – what do you automatically have downloads, how to find more apps and how to avoid paying too much for one, why using Apple App store is best. 
  • Keeping in Touch – texting, emailing, FaceTime use of other apps like WhatsApp. 
  • On a Web Safari – how can you search, save, bookmark, add to a reading list, send to a friend. 
  • Staying Organized – saving documents and photos, editing them, housekeeping, storage places. 
  • Navigation – using maps with directions in a car, on a bus/train or waling and flying over the major cities of the world. Vary the voice of your guide. Use conventional maps or satellite.
  • Photographs - Taking and editing photos. Downloading guides or using built in guides. 
  • Traveling Companion – keeping lists, creating reminders, searching for holiday destinations, using maps and reading guides. Search the area in which you will holiday. Look for best deals. 
  • Practical Matters – keeping your device up to date, finding it if lost, finding people. Backing up to iCloud.
  • Security - Advice and guidance.
  • Music and media - Sharing resources like music.
