History of Art is a long-established group that meets at the Flavel studio. Our members range from those who are very knowledgeable and others who just enjoy the pleasure of looking at pictures.
We usually have a slide show presentation prepared by a member, visiting speaker or artist.
Over the past year we have had talks on Impressionism, the art of war, and the history of summer depicted in art.
We also encourage sharing recommendations and news about recent exhibitions.
Talks are usually attended by around 25 people or so and the cost is usually £2, a little more for a paid speaker.
Contact me to add your name to our email list, visitors and new members are always welcome.
